[origin: EP3730764A1] A gas turbine engine includes a first centrifugal compressor (20), a second centrifugal compressor (22), and intercompressor pipes (24) extending therebetween. The intercompressor pipes (24) fluidly interconnect an exit (25) of a first impeller (30) of the first centrifugal compressor (20) and an inlet (27) of a second impeller (32) of the second centrifugal compressor (22). The intercompressor pipes (24) have heat transfer structures (40) on outer surfaces thereof to increase convective heat transfer.
