Der Plattenwärmeübertrager umfasst eine Mehrzahl von mit Abstand angeordneten Paaren paralleler wärmeleitender Wände, wobei die Wände in jedem Paar (1) durch umgekehrt orientierte Trapezbleche (2) mit wechselnden Rinnen (3) und Stegen (4) gebildet sind, wobei die Stege (4) in jedem Paar (1) aneinander anliegen und ihre Rinnen (3) Kanäle (5) für Durchfluss des zweiten Mediums bilden, während zwischen den einzelnen Blechpaaren (1) befindliche Spalten (6), die am ganzen Umfang verblendet sind, zum Durchfluss des ersten Mediums dienen, wobei an beiden Enden des Stegs (4) eines jeden Trapezblechs (2) eine Öffnung (7) für Zufuhr bzw. Abfuhr des ersten Mediums gebildet ist und wobei die Bleche eines jeden Paares (1) an den lateralen Kanten (8) und am Umfang (9) der Öffnungen (7) gassicher verbunden sind, sowie die Verblendung der Spalten (6) gasabgedichtet ist.
