Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2019129656A1] The invention relates to a protective garment, in particular for military use, for protecting at least part of a user's body against the effects of a contaminant. The thickness of the garment of the invention comprises: an outer layer designed to stop the liquid phase from the contaminant, said outer layer having both hydrophobic and oleophobic properties and being made from a plurality of shaped pieces assembled together at assembly zones by stitching; and a layer of filtering material, designed to absorb vapours from the contaminant. At one assembly zone, the protective garment comprises a reinforcing layer having both hydrophobic and oleophobic properties, which is assembled to two shaped pieces of the outer layer using the same stitching.
