[origin: GB2567218A] A semi submersible vessel for comprising first and second laterally spaced hull portions 14,16, and a central hull portion 18, connecting the two, where the three hulls define an open receiving section, and each of the first and second hull portions comprise a plurality of laterally spaced support beams, where at least one of the support beams on each of the first and second hull portions comprise winches. Preferably the support beams are built into the hull, and comprise feet (30, figure 5). Also disclosed are methods of using such a semi-submersible vessel to either lift or install either a topside (24, figure 6) or a subsea jacket (26, figure 6) of an offshore infrastructure, by moving the vessel into position, and either engaging the topside using the supporting beams to lift the topside, or engaging the jacket by using the winches and winch cables (36, figure 9)
