Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2019130035A1] The container (1 ) has a blow molded piece forming a hollow plastic body (3). The body (3) has a bottom (4) and an annular side wall (30) longitudinally extending from an annular base to a top (31 ). A thin flexible lid (20) of foil material covers and seals a wide top opening (01 ) of the container. The top (31 ) is connected to the outer rim (5a) of an annular top flange. The top flange (5) protrudes radially inward and delimit the opening (01 ) at an inner rim (5b). The lid (20) is axially adhered to the flange upper face and can be peeled away, optionally using a pull tab (PT) that extends beyond the outer rim (5a). Except at region of the pull tab, the annular outer edge (20b) of the lid extends parallel to the outer rim (5a), not beyond 1.0 or 2.0 mm from the outer rim (5a).
