The present invention relates to a ceria-carbon-sulfur (CeO<sub>2</sub>-C-S) composite comprising a ceria-carbon (CeO<sub>2</sub>-C) composite in which cylindrical carbon materials having ceria (CeO<sub>2</sub>) particles bonded to their surfaces are entangled and thus are interconnected to each other in three dimensions; and sulfur, which is introduced into at least a portion of an outer surface and an inside of the ceria-carbon composite, a method for preparing the same, and positive electrode for a lithium-sulfur battery and a lithium-sulfur battery comprising the same.
