[origin: WO2019137596A1] An energy supply unit (1) for aircraft ground support equipment and industrial trucks (2) is arranged in a replaceable manner on the item of aircraft ground support equipment or industrial truck (2). The energy supply unit (1) comprises a receiving housing (3) in which electrical energy storage units (4) and the electrical connecting means thereof and a battery control apparatus (5), by means of which the operation of the electrical energy storage units (4) can be subjected to open-loop control and closed-loop control, are received and held. In order to reduce the expenditure required for exchanging, replacing and charging electrical energy supply units of this kind, the invention proposes that a charging device (6) by means of which the electrical energy storage units (4) can be charged with electrical energy, a charging cable (7) by means of which the charging device (6) can be connected to an external electrical energy source, and a counterweight arrangement (8) are arranged in the receiving housing (3) of the energy supply unit (1).
