Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019122207A1] The invention relates to a participant station (20; 30) for a bus system (1) and to a method for transmitting a message at different bitrates in a bus system (1). The participant station (20; 30) comprises a transmission stage (2200) for transmitting a message (4; 5) on a bus line (3) of the bus system (1). The transmission stage (2200) has output stages (225, 226, 2270, 2280) for switching differential bus signals (CAN_EL_H; CAN_EL_H) for a message (5) between a high bus state (461) and a low bus state (471). The output stage (2200) is designed such that for at least one phase for transmitting data of the message (5), the differential bus signals (CAN_EL_H; CAN_EL_H) for a low bus state (471) have the same level, and the low bus state (471) is operated with a low impedance.
