[origin: EP3745033A1] A heat pump water-heater outdoor unit has a bottom plate which has a rectangular bottom surface, a compressor which is provided on the bottom plate and compresses a refrigerant, a soundproofing material which covers a side surface of the compressor, and a soundproofing material placement portion which is provided on the bottom plate and holds a lower end of the soundproofing material at a position higher than the bottom surface. The soundproofing material placement portion covers corner portion that is closest to the compressor out of corner portions of the bottom plate. The bottom plate includes an edge portion which extends upward from each side of the bottom surface. The soundproofing material placement portion holds the lower end of the soundproofing material at a position higher than an upper end of the edge portion.
