The aim of the invention is to provide a machine arrangement for sequentially machining a plurality of sheet-shaped substrates. The aim is achieved in that a straight line extending through an axis of rotation of a machining cylinder (22, 38) and through an axis of rotation of a transfer drum (44) mounted immediately downstream or a transport cylinder (44) mounted immediately downstream forming, with respect to a horizontal, an acute angle (α1) and/or a straight line which passes through an axis of rotation of a machining cylinder (22, 38) and an axis of rotation of a transfer drum (43) mounted directly upstream or of a transport cylinder (43) mounted immediately upstream forming, with respect to the horizontal, an acute angle (α2), the horizontal extending respectively through the axis of rotation of the respective transfer drum (43; 44) or through the axis of rotation of the respective transport cylinder (44) or the respective feed cylinder (43).
