Abstract (en)

[origin: CA3090603A1] A bung plug closure for bung-hole containers includes a bung plug for placing in a neck of the container with a seal cap for closing a recess formed in the plug. The plug has key projections on an interior wall of the plug recess. Inner surfaces of the projections define a receiving space. Matching locking elements are provided in the plug recess. A valve is disposed in a bottom of the plug recess. The valve body is disposed in a valve opening of a bottom recess and is provided with a valve cover connected to the plug. The cover is an elastically deformable disk, with a diameter d smaller than a diameter D of the receiving space. The cover is connected to the plug with the circumferential edge of the cover received between the locking protrusion of the engaging body and a recess edge of the bottom recess.
