According to the invention, a first optically active component (8) is arranged downstream of the light-emitting diodes (5, 6) in the light emission direction, which first optically active component concentrates incident, divergent light beams (L) exclusively in the direction of a first longitudinal center plane (H) of the lighting device (1). This occurs in such a way that the light beams (L) hit a second optically active component (4) arranged downstream of the first optically active component (8). The second optically active component (4) concentrates incident, divergent light beams (L) at a first boundary surface (4a) thereof exclusively in the direction of a second longitudinal center plane (V) of the lighting device, which is perpendicular to the first longitudinal center plane (H). The light beams (L) are scattered again at a second boundary surface (4b) of the component (4). By means of the invention, a lighting device can be provided which provides a plurality of signal light functions having a strip-shaped or line-shaped light appearance, with extreme homogeneity.
