[origin: WO2019158584A1] The invention relates to a system and to a method for authentication of an individual item of information. The system has: at least one recycling device, configured to detect at least one individual item of information with respect to a recyling product by means of at least one sensor, at least one processor, configured to carry out encryption of the at least one detected individual item of information, and at least one authentication device, configured to carry out authentication of the encrypted individual item of information in relation to at least one predefined item of target reference information which corresponds to the individual item of information. The method comprises: detection, by means of a sensor, of at least one individual item of information with respect to a recycling product on the basis of at least one analog measured value, encryption of the individual item of information by means of at least one processor, and comparison of the encrypted individual item of information with at least one predetermined item of target reference information which corresponds to the individual item of information.
