Abstract (en)
A top tension device, provided on a flat knitting machine, having an adjusting member for adjusting tension to a yarn, according to an electrical input, is set. An input value to the adjusting member for applying a desired tension to a yarn is measured. The input value is corrected and transformed to a setup value on the basis of elements in the yarn feeding route from the top tension device to the carrier of the yarn. The controller of the flat knitting machine applies the setup value to the adjusting member.
