Die Erfindung betrifft ein Vorgarnspulengatter (2) für eine Ringspinnmaschine (1) mit mindestens zwei durch Längsträger (3) gebildete Gatterreihen, die mit Vorgarnspulen (4) bestückbar sind, wobei die Längsträger (3) über Querprofile (8) an vertikalen Gatterstangen (9) abgestützt sind.Um jederzeit problemlos ein Abrufen der Restlaufzeit der im Vorgarnspulengatter (2) hängenden Vorgarnspulen (4) zu gewährleisten, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass das Vorgarnspulengatter (2) mit Sensoreinheiten (6, 14) ausgestattet ist, die mittels Messung die Menge des in den Gatterreihen vorhandenen Vorgarns erfassen und an eine Rechnereinrichtung (7) übermitteln, die daraus die Restlaufzeit des im Vorgarnspulengatter (2) befindlichen Vorgarns berechnet.
