[origin: WO2019175159A1] The invention concerns a method for preparing cello-polysaccharides comprising the steps consisting of: a) providing a cellulose with an average viscometric degree of polymerisation DPvi, b) bringing said cellulose into contact with an aqueous solution of chlorine dioxide with a pH greater than or equal to 8, by means of which a suspension of cello-polysaccharides with an average viscometric degree of polymerisation DPvf in a liquid phase is obtained, where DPvf ≤ 0.60 x DPvi c) recovering said cello-polysaccharides in suspension and, if applicable, the cello-oligosaccharides present in the liquid phase.
