[origin: WO2019174666A1] The invention relates to a system (100, 100') for treating a surface of at least one large-format component (10, 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) with a diameter or dimensions in the range of 0.5 m to 12 m, comprising at least one heatable treatment container (1) for receiving a treatment bath (2) and the at least one component (10, 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) in the treatment bath (2), wherein the treatment container (1) has a container base (1a) and a container wall (1b) joining the container base (1a), wherein the treatment container (1) further has at least one removable cover (3; 3a, 3b). According to the invention, at least one heating column (4, 4') is arranged centrally, when viewed from above, in the heatable treatment container (1), the heating column extending from the container base (1a) in the direction of the cover (3; 3a, 3b) and/or extending from the cover (3) in the direction of the container base (1a). The invention further relates to a method for treating a surface of at least one large-format component (10, 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) in a system (100, 100') of this kind.
