[origin: WO2019175379A1] The present invention provides in vitro methods for the diagnosis and/or prognosis of synaptopathy and/or neurodegeneration in an individual, for deciding whether to initiate a therapeutic intervention, and for monitoring the efficacy of the therapeutic intervention, all based on the determination of the level of product expression of VAMP-2and/or Syntaxin-1.Advantageously, these markers allow the early detection of synaptopathy in diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
