Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019179824A1] The invention relates to a chronograph for a timepiece, characterised in that it comprises a chronograph axle (32) that can carry a chronograph sweep hand and on which a chronograph wheel (31) is mounted, and in that it comprises a seconds clutch moving part comprising a lower seconds clutch wheel (21) that can mesh with a driving seconds wheel (1) of a seconds moving part of a clockwork movement and an upper seconds clutch wheel (25), said seconds clutch moving part being able to occupy two positions by means of rotation about an oscillation axis, corresponding to an engaged configuration of the chronograph in which the upper seconds clutch wheel (25) of the seconds clutch moving part meshes with the chronograph wheel (31), and a disengaged configuration in which said upper seconds clutch wheel (25) of the seconds clutch moving part no longer meshes with the chronograph wheel (31), and characterised in that at least one of the two upper (25) and lower (21) seconds clutch wheels of the seconds clutch moving part is a play take-up wheel.
