Abstract (en)

[origin: GB2572175A] A robotic system (130) locatable in an environment (100) processes a command. Environment data representing the environment (l00) at one or more points in time is obtained. First and second entities (110, 120) are represented in the received environment data. Data representing knowledge of the environment (100) is generated based on the received environment data. A command to perform an action in relation to a given entity is received. The command identifies a relationship attribute of the given entity, indicating a relationship between the given entity and a reference entity. It is determined, using the generated data and the relationship attribute, that the first entity (110) has the relationship attribute and/or that the second entity (120) does not have the relationship attribute, the action is performed in relation to the first entity (120) based on the determining. An example of an entity could be a light, a person or a television, and a relationship attribute could be a position in a room.
