The invention relates to a hinge (1) for the articulated attachment of a door to a vehicle with retention means of the door in a predetermined opening angle formed by a retention group (5) that has a clamp (50) with a first brake body and a second brake body (51, 52) and elastic means (54) to close the clamp (50) on a retention arm (4); and the aforementioned retention arm (4) has a housing (41, 42) in at least one of the faces (41a, 42a) facing the first and second brake bodies (51, 52) into which the facing brake body is automatically inserted by the action of the elastic means (54) for trapping and provisionally stopping the retention arm (4) and with it the rotation of the door in a halted position (D) during a normal maneuver of opening or closing the same, the retention arm (4) being devoid of any stop or similar that prevents the complete extraction of the same from the clamp (50).
