[origin: WO2019197586A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a helical cast pattern (1), in which a pattern body (1') in the form of a strand, in particular of EPS, EPMA, copolymer or a wax, with a centric longitudinal axis (2), a centric cavity (3) extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis (2) and a pattern body wall (4) surrounding the cavity, on the one hand, and a processing tool (5, 5') for producing a recess (16), on the other hand, are arranged in such a way that the processing tool (5, 5') extends at least partially through the pattern body wall (4) in a radial direction with respect to the longitudinal axis (2) and that the processing tool (5, 5') and/or the pattern body (1') are driven in a rotating manner about the longitudinal axis (2) of the pattern body or an axis parallel thereto in relation to one another, wherein during or in alternation with the rotational movement (6) a relative movement (7) between the pattern body and the processing tool in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis (2) is produced continuously or at least from time to time. This succeeds in introducing a helical recess into the pattern body and producing a helical cast pattern with optimized use of space.
