[origin: WO2019185210A1] The invention relates to a covering for a machine for producing a fibrous web, more particularly a paper or card web, which is substantially formed from a film-like material (12), having a first surface (14) facing the fibrous web and a second surface (16) facing away from the fibrous web, wherein the covering comprises a plurality of through openings (24), which each extend along a central axis (32) from the first surface (14) to the second surface (16), wherein the central axes (32) of at least some of the through openings (24) in the covering enclose an angle with the first surface (14) which differs from 90°. The invention further relates to a machine for producing a fibrous web, more particularly a paper or card web, comprising a covering of this kind and to a method for producing a covering of this kind, wherein the through openings (24) are made in the film-like material (12) by means of a laser.
