Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019206520A1] The invention relates to a method for atomizing a liquid (1) with a high degree of viscosity, in particular a highly viscous liquid, using a pressurized gaseous or liquid carrier medium (2) which is discharged using a spray device (3). According to the invention, the liquid (1) to be atomized is supplied to a mixing chamber (4) of the spray device (3), through which the pressurized carrier medium (2) is conducted during the discharge process such that the liquid (1) to be atomized is carried along with the carrier medium (2). The invention additionally relates to a device for carrying out the method.
