[origin: WO2019206371A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for testing geometric properties of optical elements made of plastic or glass by means of interferometry, in which optical coherence tomography is used and a volume scan of the optical element to be tested is recorded. In a preferred embodiment, in order to determine the shape of a second functional surface (3) arranged behind a first functional surface (2) in the incidence direction of the measuring beam (4), the refraction at the first functional surface (2) is taken into consideration, wherein the respective normal vectors (Nn) or the local curvatures of the first functional surface (2) are determined at points of impingement (Pn) of the measuring beam (4) on the first functional surface (2).
