Abstract (en)
A switching device (100) is provided. The switching device has movable current path arms (101A, 101B) detachably coupled with one another, for controlling transfer of electrical current therebetween, at least one insulator (104A, 104B) operably connected with the moveable current path arms (101A, 101B), a base frame (106) supporting the insulators and the moveable current path arms (101A, 101B), and at least one rotary unit (201) physically integrated with the base frame (106) and configured to support said at least one insulator (104A, 104B). The rotary unit (201) is configured as a generally concave polygon having at least one surface (201A, 201B, 201E) physically disposed against the base frame (106).
