[origin: GB2573346A] The refrigerator has an air curtain established between an air outlet 4 and air inlet 5. A weir screen 11 is located near the air inlet 5. The weir 11 is moveable between a retracted position in which the weir 11 does not limit access to a base of the refrigerator, and a deployed position in which the weir 11 acts as a barrier to prevent air from the air curtain spilling into an exterior space. The movement may be via sliding or a pivoting hinge 14. The weir 11 may be multiple slats hinged together or single piece construction. When retracted, the weir 11 may be parallel to the air curtain or lie at or below the level of the base of the refrigerator. The weir 11 may slide into the body of the refrigerator. The weir 11 may have a receiving feature for a product or container when retracted. The movement may be powered by a motor.
