Eine Vorrichtung zur Pflege eines Schmitzringes umfasst einen Wischer (4), der eine Mittelachse (5), einen ersten Umfangsabschnitt (1), einen zweiten Umfangsabschnitt (2) und ein erstes Steckprofil aufweist, weiterhin umfassend einen Halter mit einem zweiten Steckprofil, mit dem das erste Steckprofil kompatibel ausgebildet ist, so dass der Wischer (4) und der Halter zusammensteckbar sind, wobei der Wischer (4) aus einer ersten Position in eine zweite Position drehbar ist, in der ersten Position der erste Umfangsabschnitt (1) an dem Schmitzring anliegt und in der zweiten Position der zweite Umfangsabschnitt (2) an dem Schmitzring anliegt.
