A smoking substitute device (102). The substitute smoking device comprising: an elongate main body (200), the main body having a body length in a longitudinal dimension that is greater than a body width in a transverse dimension; wherein the main body includes an upper surface (201) and an oppositely directed lower surface (202), the upper and lower surfaces meeting along a pair of oppositely directed transverse edges (205); wherein an upper surface radius of curvature of the upper surface in the transverse dimension is greater than half a main body depth; wherein the main body depth is a maximum distance between the upper surface and the lower surface; and wherein a lower surface radius of curvature in the transverse dimension of the lower surface is greater than half the main body depth.
