Abstract (en)
A lithium ion secondary battery includes: a positive electrode 8 having a positive electrode active material layer 12 on a surface of a positive electrode collector 11; a negative electrode 9 having a negative electrode active material layer 15 on a surface of a negative electrode collector 14; and a nonaqueous electrolyte 17. The positive electrode 8, the negative electrode 9, and the nonaqueous electrolyte 17 are accommodated in a battery case. The nonaqueous electrolyte 17 contains γ-butyrolactone as a main component of a nonaqueous solvent. A BOB ion-derived coating film 13 is formed on the surface of the positive electrode active material layer 12. A VC-derived coating film 16 is formed on the surface of the negative electrode active material layer 15.
