[origin: WO2021053232A1] A smoking substitute apparatus (250) comprising: a housing; an air inlet (172) and an air outlet (174) formed in the housing, wherein the air inlet(172) is in fluid communication with the air outlet (174) through an air flow passage (200); and a heater (164) located in the air flow passage (200) configured to generate an aerosol from an aerosol precursor. There is also provided a flow modifying device (500) which extends across the air flow passage at a position between the air inlet and the heater (164). The flow modifying device (500) is configured to incite a laminar property to the air flow to the heater.
