Die Erfindung betrifft eine Spendevorrichtung (1) zur Verwendung in einer Etikettiermaschine umfassend: eine Zuführeinrichtung (2) für ein selbstklebende Etiketten (3, 28) tragendes Trägerband (4, 27); eine stromab der Zuführeinrichtung angeordnete Spendekante (14); eine stromab der Spendekante angeordnete Abführeinrichtung (21) zum Abführen eines Trägerbands; ein Schubwalzensystem (8) zwischen Zuführeinrichtung und Spendekante, umfassend Schubwalze (11) und erste Andrückrolle (9); ein Zugwalzensystem (16) zwischen Spendekante und Abführeinrichtung, umfassend Zugwalze (17) und zweite Andrückrolle (19). Zugwalze und zweite Andrückrolle transportieren im Zusammenwirken ein Trägerband von der Spendekante zur Abführeinrichtung. Das Schubwalzensystem ist in einer Wegstellposition und einer Zustellposition anordenbar. In der Wegschaltposition ist ein Trägerband von der Spendekante zur Abführeinrichtung durch Zusammenwirken von Zugwalze und zweiter Andrückrolle transportierbar. In der Zustellposition wirken Schubwalze und erste Andrückrolle derart zusammen, dass ein Trägerband mit Etiketten zwischen Schubwalze und erster Andrückrolle klemmbar und dadurch zusätzlich vorschubbar ist.
