Connector assembly comprising a male electrical connector (200) and a female electrical connector (3). The male connector (200) comprises at least one pair of male terminals (7) and the female connector (3) comprises at least one pair of female terminals (14). Each female terminal (14) is accommodated in a cavity (12). Each male terminal (7) has a connecting portion (23).The respective cavity (12) of each female terminal (14) comprises a front opening (44) and a side opening (45) both designed for receiving the connecting portion (23) of a male terminal (7).Male and female connectors comprised in this connector assembly.
