Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2019233808A1] The invention relates to a longitudinal cutting device for cutting a traveling material web (1), particularly a paper or cardboard web, having a plurality of rotatable circular knives (3, 4), which cut in the direction (2) of web travel, each being adjustably mounted via a slide (5) on a knife traverse extending crosswise to the web travel direction (2). According to the invention, the discharge of cutting dust is improved in that a suction collection pipe (6), connected to a vacuum source, extends crosswise to the web travel direction (2) over a plurality of circular knives (3, 4), said suction collection pipe having a suction slot (7) extending crosswise to the web travel direction (2) over said circular knives (3, 4), a suction pipe (8) receiving the cutting dust being associated with each of said circular knives (3, 4), said suction pipes (8) each being connected to the suction collection pipe (6) via a coupling element (10) mounted in the suction slot (7) and the suction slot (7) being sealed between the coupling elements (10) via a sealing band (9).
