The component (1) has a hollow profiled portion (2) made of a fiber-reinforced plastic and a load-introducing element (3) made of a metal material. The hollow profiled portion (2) and the load-introducing element (3) are connected to each other in a common connection portion (4) by means of a permanent, adhesively bonded plug-in connection (5), in which an end portion (6) of the load-introducing element (3) and an end portion (7) of the hollow profiled portion (2) mutually and at least substantially interlockingly engage in each other. The invention is characterized in that the component is designed as a chassis link (1) for a motor vehicle and in that the end portion (6) of the load-introducing element (3) has a plug-in toothing (8) having teeth (10) extending at least substantially in the longitudinal direction (9) of the common connection portion (4), whereby the stiffness of the end portion (6) of the load-introducing element (3) in the longitudinal direction (9) of the common connection portion (4) is reduced.
