[origin: WO2019224077A1] The invention relates to a braking system (2) comprising four hydraulically actuatable wheel brakes (4, 6, 8, 10), a normally closed outlet valve (106, 124, 140, 144) being associated with each wheel brake (4, 6, 8, 10) and a normally open inlet valve (100, 120, 130, 134) being associated with each wheel brake (4, 6, 8, 10), in which two pressure supply devices (14, 16) are provided for active pressure build-up in the wheel brakes (4, 6, 8, 10), a first (I) and a second brake circuit (II) are hydraulically embodied with two wheel brakes (4, 6; 8, 10) respectively, a respective pressure supply device (14, 16) is hydraulically connected, in each brake circuit (I, II), to two wheel brakes (4, 6; 8, 10), and a first (18) and a second control and regulating unit (20) are provided, the first control and regulating unit (18) electrically controlling the pressure supply device (14) of the first brake circuit (I), and the second control and regulating unit (20) hydraulically controlling the pressure supply device (16) of the second brake circuit (II), the two control and regulating units (18, 20) being interconnected by means of a data interface (160).
