[origin: WO2019228846A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a compressed strand (F) made of an insulated wire (1) which is supplied in a straight manner or in a substantially straight manner. The method is characterized by the following steps: a) reshaping the insulated wire (1) into at least one half-loop, ring, or coil using a reshaping device (2); b) twisting the at least one half-loop, ring, or coil into a wire packet (D) using a twisting device (4); and c) compacting the wire packet (D) using a compacting device (5). The invention also relates to - a method for producing an electric motor, wherein the production of at least one part of the compressed strand for the electric motor is carried out using the method according to the invention, and - to the use of the compressed strand in the stator (S) of an electric motor, at least some parts of said compressed strand being the compressed strand produced according to the invention.
