[origin: WO2019238581A1] Disclosed is a hairstyling device (1) for straightening hair, comprising a straightening surface (5) having at least one planar portion intended to come into contact with a strand of hair, a reservoir (10) for liquid, a heating element (21), a wick (13) communicating with the reservoir (10) so as to be soaked with liquid, said wick (13) extending between a distal end (16) intended to come into contact with the heating element (21) and a proximal end (20) supplied with liquid from the reservoir (10), and means for guiding the wick (13) configured to allow it to move from a passive position to an active position in which said wick is in contact with the heating element (21) for creating steam, characterized in that said guiding means comprise an elastic guide device (18) in contact with the periphery of said wick (13) at the distal end (16).
