The aim of the invention is to provide an improved rail vehicle car in the case of which standardized connection of outfitting elements is possible. This aim is achieved, according to the invention, in that the ceiling frame (2, 90, 104) has at least one transverse strut (10) in the first region (9) of the car body (6, 94, 108), which at least one transverse strut connects the longitudinal struts (8) of the ceiling frame (2, 90, 104) to one another, the longitudinal struts (8) being fastened, in the first region (9), to the car body (6, 94, 108) by means of the at one transverse strut (10).
