Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019238872A1] The invention relates to a device for generating a virtual image with scanning image generation. The device comprises at least one light source for producing a light beam, an image-producing unit (1) for producing an image, and an optical waveguide (5) for widening an exit pupil. The optical waveguide (5) has an in-coupling hologram. By means of the image-producing unit (1) in conjunction with the in-coupling hologram, a field-point-dependent aperture is realized for the optical waveguide (5).
