An adjustable force device for relaxation furniture that comprises a multitude of resilient elements and at least one rigid base element on which the resilient elements rest, in such a way that the resilient elements are intended to compress when receiving pressure and return to their original shape when this pressure is removed, in which at least some of the resilient elements comprise:- a head component on the upper part of the resilient element;- a means for transmitting tension applied to the head component,the means for transmitting tension to an actuating device of the means for transmitting tension being connected in such a way that the action of the actuating device causes the connected resilient element or elements to compress via the respective means for transmitting tension.
