[origin: WO2020016403A1] The invention relates to a retaining device (10) for a floor mat (12) in the form of a sheet-like material such as a paper web with one or more layers, comprising a frame (14) which is designed to accommodate the floor mat (12), wherein at least one clamping device (40, 42, 44, 46) is provided along at least one side of the frame (14), wherein, in an open position of the clamping device (40, 42, 44, 46), the floor mat (12) can be inserted into the frame (14) or removed from the frame (14), and wherein, in a closed position of the clamping device (40, 42, 44, 46), the floor mat (12) is fixed in the frame (14). In order to provide a retaining device which can be produced straightforwardly and flexibly with different dimensions, wherein the sheet-like material can easily be changed over and the frame as well as the swing-action device for fixing the sheet-like material withstand pronounced mechanical loading, it is proposed that the frame (14) should be formed from individual frame-profile-rail portions (16, 18, 20, 22) which can be connected at the ends, wherein the frame-profile-rail portions (16, 18, 20, 22) comprise a floor-profile rail (24, 26, 28, 30) and the clamping device (40, 42, 44, 46).
