[origin: WO2019243408A1] The invention relates to a pigment paste containing, each relative to the total weight of the pigment paste, 1 to 75 wt% pigment, 0.01 to 10 wt% alkanolamine, 0.5 to 30 wt% wetting agent and 15 to 75 wt% water, the pH of the pigment paste being 10 to 14. The invention also relates to a process for preparing such a pigment paste, a paint containing at least one coating agent and at least one pigment paste of the above type, to a method for producing a paint, and to the use of alkanolamine for stabilizing and/or increasing the storage stability of a pigment paste.
