[origin: WO2020043314A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a coking product (VK), in which a container (2, 202, 302) is provided, which delimits an interior space (3) and comprises a filling opening and a heating device (10, 210, 310) for heating the carbon carrier material (K) filled into the interior space (3) of the container (2, 202, 302). The flowable or pourable carbon carrier material (K) introduced into the interior (3) via the filling opening is introduced into the container (2) via the filling opening, and comprises a liquid or fusible coking carbon component and optionally, a solid coking carbon component, and likewise optionally, an additive that serves to adjust the properties of the carbon carrier material (K). The carbon carrier material filled into the interior space (3) is heated to a coking temperature by means of the heating device (10, 210, 310), wherein in each case, the heated carbon carrier material (K) is kept at the coking temperature until by coking, the heated carbon carrier material is solidified to form the coking product (VK), wherein gas (G), which escapes from the carbon carrier material (K) during heating and holding, is discharged from the container (2, 202, 302). The coking product (VK) produced in this way is then removed from the container (2, 202, 302).
