[origin: WO2020002112A1] A torsional vibration damping assembly, more particularly a tuned mass damper, comprises a deflection mass support (12) which can be rotated about an axis of rotation (A) and a plurality of deflection masses (22) which are arranged one after another in the circumferential direction and are supported on the deflection mass support (12) such that they can be deflected from a basic relative position in relation to the deflection mass support, wherein, on deflection from the basic relative position, the radial position of the deflection masses (22) in relation to the axis of rotation (A) changes, wherein each deflection mass (22) is supported by means of at least two coupling formations (29) on the deflection mass support (12) such that said deflection mass can be deflected starting from the basic relative position in both circumferential directions, wherein at least one stop formation (52) is provided in association with each deflection mass (22), wherein at least one stop formation (52) comprises a non-curved first stop surface that is fixed in relation to the deflection mass support (12) and in association with each first stop surface a non-curved first stop counter-surface (92, 92') is provided on a deflection mass (22), and wherein, when a first stop counter-surface (92, 92') impinges on a first stop surface (60, 60', 86, 86'), a movement direction vector of the deflection mass (22) on the first stop counter-surface (92, 92') and a surface normal of the first stop surface are at an angle to each other of at most 5°.
