Die Erfindung betrifft ein Haushaltsgerät (1), insbesondere Haushaltskältegerät, mit einem Korpus (5) und einem Verschlusselement (2',3'), welches einen in dem Korpus (5) befindlichen Lagerraum (4) verschließt und an dem Korpus (5) mittels zumindest eines Scharniers (16,55) angelenkt ist, wobei das Scharnier (16,55) ein korpusseitiges Scharnierteil (32) umfasst, welches an einer ebenen Anlagefläche (26) an dem Korpus (5) befestigt ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass der Korpus (5) ein entlang einer senkrecht zur Anlagefläche (26) verlaufenden Richtung (Y) bezüglich der Anlagefläche (26) versetzt angeordnetes Positionierelement (28,52,57) aufweist, welches mit dem korpusseitigen Scharnierteil (32) eine formschlüssige Verbindung bildet. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin ein Scharnier (16) zur Befestigung eines Verschlusselements (2,3) eines Haushaltsgerätes (1) an einem Korpus (5) eines Haushaltsgerätes (1), das Scharnier (16) umfassend ein zur Befestigung an dem Korpus (5) ausgebildetes Scharnierteil (32), welches Scharnierteil (32) eine ebene Geräteanlagefläche (36) aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß ist dabei vorgesehen, dass an dem Scharnierteil (32) ein bezüglich einer senkrecht zu der Geräteanlagefläche (36) verlaufenden Richtung (Y) gegenüber der Geräteanlagefläche (36) hervorspringendes Gegenpositionierelement (37) ausgebildet ist
