[origin: GB2575071A] A flow regulation valve 100 for a demand regulator of a breathing apparatus comprising breathing gas inlet conduit 102, a valve sleeve 110 with inlet 112 to receive the inlet conduit and breathing gas outlet 114, and a sealing element 136 to seal the outlet of the sleeve. The sleeve is arranged concentrically about the inlet conduit in slidable sealing contact such that the sleeve is sealed against the conduit. The valve sleeve slides between a first position where the outlet is sealed against the sealing element, and a second position where the outlet is not sealed and permits gas flow. The inlet conduit and sealing element may be connected to form a valve shaft. The valve sleeve may be continuously moveable between the first and second positions to vary the gas flow rate. The sleeve may be actuated by a lever 150 attached to a breathing demand regulator diaphragm.
