[origin: WO2020006585A1] The invention relates to a toy for domestic pets, in particular for dogs, comprising a housing (3) having a base (5), a cover (7) and lateral walls (6) with openings (31, 32), wherein at least one longitudinal sliding element (1) and at least one transverse sliding element (2) are slidingly mounted in the housing (3), wherein the sliding element (1, 2) is arranged completely inside the housing (3) in a first closed position, and an end region (11, 21) of the sliding element (1, 2) protrudes through the opening (31, 32) out of the housing (3) in a second open position, wherein a recess (12, 22) for receiving a treat is arranged in the end region (11, 21) of the sliding element (2, 3), wherein the sliding elements (1, 2) are oriented normal relative to one another and are arranged such that they intersect in an interaction region, wherein surface structures in the height and/or width are provided on or in the sliding elements (1, 2), wherein the surface structures mechanically interact with one another and the mechanical interaction can be changed by moving the sliding elements (1, 2), whereby the sliding elements (1, 2) can be brought into the open position in which the recesses (12, 22) are arranged outside the housing (3).
