[origin: WO2020011595A1] A hand-held power tool has a monostable operating button (6) which has a stable switch position and a pressed switch position. A pawl (32) is provided, which is pivotable in a pivot direction (34) between a releasing position and a locking position, wherein the pawl (32), in the locking position, arrests the monostable operating button (6) in the pressed switch position. An actuation knob (30) can be slid by the user in a sliding direction (31) perpendicular to the pivot direction (34). The pawl (32) is placed against the actuation knob (30) via a joint (36). A slotted link (38) converts a movement of the pawl (32) in the sliding direction (31) into a pivot movement in the pivot direction (34).
