Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2020011692A1] The invention relates to an apparatus comprising measurement electrodes (108) and capacitive sensing electronics configured to: - bias the measurement electrodes (108) to an alternating electrical detection potential, which is different from a ground potential, at a detection frequency, and - detect a signal relating to capacitive coupling between said object and at least one measurement electrode (108); said apparatus further comprising at least one extension member (300) that is attached to said apparatus above at least one measurement electrode (108) and is electrically coupled to the at least one measurement electrode (108) so as to extend the capacitive detection provided by the at least one measurement electrode (108).
